I love you in the most unconventional way.
I love you with a heart so worn and disheveled;
Beaten and discouraged by the toils of the thing we call “life”.
I love you with such hatred and disdain;
That one would wonder why my heart beats for you so.
I love you with a rage so powerful;
It shakes the heavens.
I love you through the tears that coat my tired eyes
I love you through the cold nights;
When the bitter cold eats away at my flushed cheeks
I love you for all the times that you said you would stay
And sat beside me, holding my hands
Assuring me that everything was okay.
I love you in a way that’s mad;
Seeping through the crevices of the heart that I once had
Mending the pieces that I was for sure, had gone bad.
