Rusty Pancake

So, I know it’s been a while and I was never too consistent with the blog posting, to begin with, but I feel like I’ve been on a hiatus. An unintentional hiatus. I promise I will work on that.

I’m planning a trip to Canada in either July or August. So maybe that trip from my ordinary life will spark up some inspiration. I’m also planning on writing a poetry book that I’m hoping to have out by the fall. Big things are coming! Hopefully…

In the meantime, here’s something kinda fun. I had a dream last night that I was playing the guitar so that motivated me to dig out mine and do a little strumming. I was never that good at it but strumming was always fun and relaxing.

I decided to channel my inner “Phoebe Buffet” and came up with this song called “Rusty Pancake”. The title is totally random and I just thought it would make an interesting song. So, I did it. 😅

Lyrics:

Rusty pancake

On the sidewalk

Rusty pancake

Outlined in chalk

Rusty pancake

Took a big fall

Rusty pancake’s

With us no more

Rusty pancake

Had a lot of love

But rusty pancake

Liked to risk it all

Rusty pancake’s

No neanderthal

But rusty pancake

Couldn’t take it no more

Rusty pancake

You’ll always be loved

Cause rusty pancake

You’re so dear to us
